The Serbian part of project team consists of:
1 full professor (PI),
3 associate professors (WP Coordinators),
1 senior research associate and 1 research associate,
2 research assistants, and 1 junior research assistant (3 young researchers).
The Serbian part of the team has published 11 articles in the previous 3 years in scientific journals indexed by the Science Citation Index of the Web of Science. From 11 published articles, 8 are in top international journals (Q1/Q2 according to JCR) related to the research field of the PROMINENT project.
The team members are carefully selected to cover all issues which are planned to be met during the project realization. The FINK members are the core of the team with proven expertise and extensive experience in FEM development software, its application, but also in experimental investigation from the engineering point of view, while the IITKG members will give additional value by expertise in computer science. The team members will work together with strong interaction on all activities, but two directions of the project realization will divide the team in two interest groups:
1- Development of PAK-DAM software tool,
2- Experimental investigation,
which will intertwine during the verification and the software application activities. The developers will follow instructions of experimental experts in the activities of the constitutive model’s preparation, and calibration, while the experimental group will follow the suggestions about the boundary and loading conditions which are necessary for identification of fracture toughness parameter. The verification and application of the PAK-DAM will be planned by both teams.
PI, Miroslav Živković is a full professor at FINK, with experience in project’s coordination at national level (5 projects in the last 20 years with the total budget of about 2.000.000 EUR), but also in coordination of TEMPUS project JEP-CD-41101_2006, ECDL for Serbian Administration 2007-2009 with the budget of 297.669,00 EUR. The total budget of the more than 90 projects realized with industry is about 450.000 EUR. Also, during 2019-2020, he has successfully realized as the leader of the FINK group the Experiment 13 – “Optimization of the production process of metal structures using OSICE” in the framework of H2020 project Cloudifacturing.
He is the leader of the group for FEM software development at the FINK. His field of interest is numerical simulations, finite element software development and application. He has more than 30 years of practice in numerical simulations (structural analysis, heat transfer analysis, fluid flow, coupled and Multiphysics problems, biomedical simulations, pore pressures and seepage problems), and more than 5 years in experimental investigation and material characterization. In the last 8 years, he was supervisor of 5 completed PhD thesis.
He has published more than 35 articles in the last 20 years in top scientific peer-reviewed journals. He is the author of 10 technical solutions including the recent (2020) international technical solution under title “Software for solution of Multiphysics problems PAK-Multiphysics”.
He was dean of the FINK from 2013-2016.
Now he is the head of the Department for Applied Mechanics and Automatic control.
He is the PROMINENT project coordinator.
TM1, Vladimir Dunić is associate professor at FINK in the field of Applied Mechanics. In 2021, he published 2 articles [1] [2] in top scientific journals related to the PFM and its implementation in FEM software together with PI and TM2.
He has cooperation with world leading scientists which resulted in joint publication of journal articles (Prof. Ryosuke Matsui from AIT, Japan, and Prof. Elzbieta Pieczyska from IPPT, PAN, Poland).
He was involved in 3 national and 6 international projects as a researcher.
He has extensive experience in material modeling, simulation of metallic alloys, thermo-mechanical coupling, and concrete modeling.
TM2, Vladimir Milovanović, is associate professor at FINK, in the field of Experimental Mechanics. He has extensive experience in the field of experimental investigation of various materials (metals, polymers). Officially certified as an expert in laboratory testing on SHIMADZU Servo-hydraulic Test System. Certificate for course Experimental Design by Experiments / University Centre of Bertinoro (Italy), Engineering Faculty, DIEM Department of University of Bologna (Italy).
He was a team member of 4 national and 4 international projects.
He leads the experimental investigation and material parameters identification as WP2 Coordinator as well as the activities in WP4 related to comparison of the experimental and simulation results. He is responsible for the equipment procurement.
EC1, Albert de la Fuente is an associate professor at the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department of Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC, BarcelonaTECH).
He is the leader of the research group C3S.
During his 15-year research career, he has published more than 100 journal articles, more than 90 articles in conference proceedings and 10 books and book chapters on the topics of Design and optimization of fiber reinforced concrete (FRC) structures, 3D printed concrete for heavy duty structural applications, concrete structural design and optimization, sustainability analysis using Multi – Criteria Decision Processes and Sustainability, and reliability oriented to optimization of concrete structures.
He is an active member of RILEM and fib where he is the member of several Task Groups and Committees on topics such as FRC tunnels and pavements, sustainability of precast structures and precast concrete bridges.
Dr. de la Fuente has also been an active consultant in the UPC spin-off enterprise Smart Engineering Ltd and is the coordinator of several research projects funded by the Spanish government and the EU
The UPC team member, EC1, will support all stages of the PAK-DAM software development and verification, especially in case studies realization, but the most valuable impact is expected in dissemination of the PROMINENT results and communication with the potential stakeholders in Spain.
