05.12.2024. workshop “Material instabilities and modelling of refractory materials
Vladimir Dunić, a member of the PROMINENT team, at the invitation of Prof. Vladimir Buljak from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Belgrade, delivered an introductory lecture on December 5th, 2024, titled “Phase-field damage modeling of quasi-brittle materials” at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Belgrade. The lecture was a part of the international workshop “Material instabilities and modelling of refractory materials,” held within the European Horizon 2020 ITN project “Modelling and optimal design of refractories for high temperature industrial applications for a low carbon society – RE-FRACTURE2.” In addition to introductory lectures, the workshop presented the current research results of doctoral students involved in the project. For young talented researchers, it was an opportunity to become acquainted with ongoing research in the field of advanced ceramic materials, which is of particular importance for their further development and integration into the scientific community.
